Culture? introducing Aron Wiesenfeld...

..Todays feature is the great artist Aron Wiesenfeld. Aron`s work really has a kind of scary quality, you can sense that something just is not right. The mood is really special, and Aron has managed to capture it perfectly. Here it is, your daily shot at art with Aron Wiesenfeld:

...Flood..

..Landfall..

..Rain..

..Scout..

..The oat breakers..

..Train tunnel..

-Can you tell the readers a little bit about yourself, name, what country you live in, age etc?
My name is Aron Wiesenfeld, I'm 38, and I live in California.
-What inspired you to start being creative?
I always had an instinct to build things. When I was about 7 I started building a fort in our backyard, and kept adding on to it for years. It became into a 3 floor structure with a deck, a fireplace, and hidden rooms. I just loved to see it grow and evolve without any plan, and that's what I feel I'm doing when I paint.
-Is making art your fulltime job, and if not, what else do you do?
Full time.
-Have you gone to art school, if yes where did you go and what did you study?
I went to Cooper Union in New York, and Art Center College in Pasadena, California, where I studied illustration. I didn't want to do illustration as a career, but it was a place I could study more traditional painting techniques.
-Where do you find inspiration?
Anywhere. I'm always looking out for it.
-Do you have a favorite artist and if so who and why?
I love Millet, for the mood he captured, and the power of his compositions, especially his drawings.
-Where can my readers see you`re work?
