Culture? introducing Yoskay Yamamoto..

..On this last saturday of january, I have the great honour of introducing Yoskay Yamamoto. Yoskay`s work became an instant favourite of mine when I saw it, it is just fantastic. Yoskay is telling us some thoughts around his work. So I wish you all a great read, a great look and a great saturday...
..Here it is, your (almost) daily shot of art with Yoskay Yamamoto:

...Do you remember me..

..Hello and goodbye..

..She an he, hand carved wood sculpture`s..

..Tell me a story..

...Winter..

Can you tell the readers a little bit about yourself, name, what country you live in, age etc? I'm 29 and originally from a small town called toba in japan. I have been in the states for about 14 years and currently live ad work in down town los angeles.

-What inspired you to start being creative? I always enjoyed working with my hand. I would spend endless hours playing with legos or copying my favorite manga characters in my note book.

-Is making art your fulltime job, and if not, what else do you do? yes:)

-Have you gone to art school, if yes where did you go and what did you study?I attended santa barbara city college for couple years. I took few art classes but I was mainly studying graphic design at the time.

-Where do you find inspiration? it's difficult to say.... but i do think they come from experiences and emotions i go through by living life... also just witnessing other artists' work inspires to challenge more.

-Do you have a favorite artist and if so who and why? there are too many to list... but i do enjoy the work of yayoi kusama. i own dvd of her work called " i love me" it's a neat documentary. i love watching her at work, how everything just pours out of her without second guessing or hesitation...

-Where can my readers see you`re work?
i do have a website: http://yoskay.com/home.html
and also a blog: http://yoskay.blogspot.com/
